How can I check my fan status?

I want to know my fan status, change speed, etc.

I tried Speed Fan but it doesnt detect my fans, same with Hwinfo, with I8kfanGUI i cant even install it (I think because of incompatibility).

I read something of some dells have a "secret menu " called a a Thermal Control Panel where you can see your fan status and change its speed, you can access this menu by doing this:

- Press FN + Shift button
- While pressing those buttons press 1, 5, 3, 2, 4
- Release FN and Shift
- Press FN + R

But it doesnt work, any ideas?

Thanks!

ramro93,

Restart the computer and press F12 at startup. The Diagnostics does have a check on the fan speeds.

Alienware a17x - 9233

Is any way to monitor fan speed NOT in bios, but on working system?

For example - it seems that my system does not react to GPU load, I want to see the speed of fans for adjusting in HWINFO64 during ....benchmarking, heavy 3D soft run etc...

Is any way to MONITOR fans spped, not just check on idle (in BIOS) system ?

Is it possible to highlight at least motherboard mker / model / etc

Thanks beforehand for reply
