Chances are you fried at least the system board, particularly if you turned it on without ever disassembling and cleaning it.

Was the system powered on at the time of the spill?

You need at least a mainboard ($400 part, $100 or so labor to install). If other internal components were damaged (CPU, RAM, etc.) the repair cost could easily exceed the replacement cost of a newer system.

Did you purchase the complete care warranty (and is the system still under warranty for this)? If so, this is covered under that warranty.

If you purchased only the regular warranty, a new system may be more cost efficient.
