Inspiron 5675 CPU upgrade

I have the Dell Inspiron 5675 Desktop with the AMD A10 9700 CPU currently and it is unbearably slow, I am looking in to upgrading the CPU to the RYZEN 1600X. I have the Dell XFRWW Red Skull Bristol motherboard that came with it originally and I have been trying to confirm that I would have no issues upgrading to this CPU. As I have been reading through the Forum I have a mixed bag of results and need to know if this will work as I will be purchasing a new CPU shortly. Does anyone have any insight or Knowledge on this and know what CPUs will run with this platform without any issue?

Inspiron Gaming Desktop 5675 vs 5676 is not same board.

AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB GDDR5

AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5

Redskull  motherboard only supports the Bristol Ridge CPU

Generally, Dell does not add "future" CPU support once a PC has shipped.

So even with these motherboards being the same x370 chipset, you are unable to run anything other than the Bristol ridge CPU? Is this confirmed?

Finally Found the answer in another thread!! Hope this helps, now the real question is has anyone dabbled with Ryzen 2xxx CPU on the XFRWW motherboards

"Re: New Inspiron Gaming Desktop 5675 vs 5676 - same motherboard

I went ahead and threw a 1700x in my motherboard, which is the xfrww with single m.2 slot and one pcie x16 slot. It works just fine. I believe since the 3 motherboards share a bios that they are at their simplest level the same board, and different features added for different reasons. Example being, the xfrww has video output ports since the a10 9700 has on board video while ryzen does not. The ryzen board does not have these. Also, the additional pcie x16 slot and m.2 slot may be because ryzen has more pcie lanes and can use them while the a10 cannot. Further, I would theorize that the reason Dell says ryzen and ryzen 2 are only supported in the other 2 boards is because Dell would not sell a configuration with a ryzen cpu and the xfrww for reasons stated above, not because they are incompatible."

I just recently got the inspiron 5675 with the 1 a10 9700 and I'm looking to upgrade to the same cpu that you did. Do you have to do anything with bios or anything special when you switch them? Can you use the same fan and stuff or get a new fan?
