Failed Smartmedia Memory Card

I have an Olympus 128Mb Smartmedia Card. It works fine in the PC reader (can read/write files to it), but the camera doesn't seem to recognize it anymore (it displays Card Error and doesn't allow me to format it either).
Does anyone know of a software that will format the card and make it suitable for the camera again?
