512 MB DDR ram (PC2700 or PC3200)

Hi,

Can anyone explain to me what "PC2700", "PC3200" and "NonECC" are in regard to DDR Ram memory, and which version would I need to buy to match my "512 MB NonECC 333Mhz DDR memory" stick, as I want to increase my total RAM to 1024MB.

My computer only has two RAM slots so I think I need to buy a matching stick of 512MB, any help will be much appreciated.

333 MHz RAM is PC2700.

Your best bet is to buy from a vendor that guarantees comptibility - www.crucial.com.

I always use the crucial site suggested above.

Besides guarantying you have the right memory if you use their selection tool, all the answers to your questions (and more) are explained just a few clicks off the main entry page.
