iSCSI Connection error

I am facing this error on my hosts:

south02 iscsi: [ID 286457 kern.notice] NOTICE: iscsi connection(23) unable to connect to target iqn.1992-04.com.emc:cx.ck200073800367.a1 (errno:145)

Any ideas.

This is a problem with SUN Solaris using iSCSI to an array that is running flare release 24. Only flare release 26 is supported for SUN Solaris 10 using iSCSI - upgrade the array to release 26.

Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, we just got carried away since this was EMC's own implementation and no one in the performace Support Case (Logged separately) also realized this mismatch. Once this was done & Write cache enabled, we could create a new 2 GB file in 48 seconds which used to take 35 minutes till yesterday.

Thanks a lot for your help again.

Make sure you check the EMC Support Matrix for the specific supported models for SUN - there are not that many supported and there are some conditions based on patches to Solaris 10.

Look for the SUN_SOLARIS.PDF and do a search for "network:IP" - this will find all the supported iSCSI configurations.
