Alienware area 51 Power supply faulty, how to get a replacement? how to upgrade to 1050w?
My alienware Area 51 's power supply was faulty.
The machine died. No reaction after push power button. Technical came and assumed that the power faulty.
So, where can I buy one?
I contact alienware_service@dell.com . They reply me that I can pay 129 DOLLARS to get call back from technical. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? the machine died. What can you do on the phone??????
will you give me free replacement? after 129 paid...
The 129 package also include software balabala something useless.
The power is DPS-850AB-2 A Made in Delta Electronic 850watt
Any suggestion?
Thanks!

I am not sure about the $129. I thought that Desktop Out of Warranty support started at $59. Click my DELL-username in blue, then click "Send a Private Message". Provide to me the service tag number so I can look up the components.

Will this service included testing faulty box if I send the faulty power supply to dell?
I do not expect this service will give me a replacement.
But I ready got a technical checked, (what dell help line suggested me to do).

I need the service tag number to know what power supply part numbers you might need.
You would not send any parts into Dell to test.
Expired Warranty Service Desktops
Call 800-822-6031, enter your Express Service Code. You will be routed to the appropriate technician. For $59, the technician will diagnose the problem to determine if there has been a hardware failure. After diagnosis by a Dell technician, a 3rd party service provider will contact you to arrange payment and schedule a convenient time to come to your location for part replacement. You will be billed directly by the service provider.

I removed the tag from view. I sent you a private message with a link to your page showing the express service code. The system warranty is from 1/22/15 to 1/23/16. So there should be no charge for you to contact regular Alienware Support. They should troubleshoot the system to verify that the power supply N0DMP is defective. Then arrange the part N0DMP replacement. But, did you buy this directly from Dell or from a reseller? It shows that it was sold out of Dell Canada. If you did not buy from Dell directly, you must transfer the service tag into your name before any service can be setup.
