EMC’s XtremIO all-flash array has had a blockbuster year by all measures. While celebrating the fact that the XtremIO product line not only leads the industry in revenue and market share, it also is the fastest-growing storage array in EMC history. XtremIO array sales rocketed to a $500 million annualized demand run-rate in its first three complete quarters, with about 30% of systems being sold to net-new EMC customers. Why? XtremIO all-flash arrays deliver transformational simplicity, acceleration, consolidation, and agility for databases, analytics, business applications, private/hybrid cloud, and VDI.
This is just the latest in an unprecedented string of wins and milestones for XtremIO arrays, having most recently vaulted EMC to the Leader’s Quadrant in Gartner’s inaugural Magic Quadrant for Solid-State Arrays. In the second quarter of 2014, EMC introduced the XtremIO Xpect More program, which highlights how XtremIO all-flash arrays significantly extend the storage lifecycle with their unique scale-out architecture and lower TCO with maintenance support price protection for up to seven years—longer than any other vendor. Xpect More also provides a seven-year flash endurance warranty and a three-year money-back guarantee.
These highlights point to EMC’s market leadership in flash and, specifically, to the differentiated architecture of XtremIO all-flash arrays that not only means consistent and predictable high performance, but the ability to linearly scale performance while leveraging a full and powerful suite of always on, always inline array-based data services. These data services enable customers to use XtremIO all-flash arrays as strategic assets for space-efficient copy services, rapid provisioning, large workload consolidations across production and non-production environments (such as dev/test and real-time analytics and reporting) — all in a minimal and cost-effective all-flash footprint.
Money Talks
EMC also announced today that it put $1,000,000 back on the table for EMC XtremIO all-flash array customers with the XtremIO Inline All-the Time Guarantee. The new guarantee offers $1,000,000 to the first XtremIO customer whose XtremIO array’s inline data deduplication function, and enabled in-line compression function for XIOS v. 3.0 or newer, have switched off, been throttled back, or defaulted to post-processing.
This $1 Million Guarantee runs until January 2, 2015. Details can be found here.
