This week in Anaheim, the Dell Cloud Client Computing team will participate in the industry’s premier conference on desktop virtualization, Citrix Synergy 2013. Several exciting announcements will be made at the show that advance Dell’s mission to empower its customers with simple, flexible, and high-performing technology. Dell’s newest end-to-end cloud client computing solutions will be featured prominently on the Synergy Expo Floor to demonstrate how Dell is revolutionizing the way their customers handle day-to-day business—from the cloud all the way to end-point devices.
Dell Cloud Client Computing has a busy agenda for the Citrix Synergy conference and will launch several new solutions, including new thin clients, software, and VDI solutions built for Citrix. The team will host several booth theater presentations that feature Dell customers: Credit Suisse, Seattle Children’s, Indiana University, Sullivan University System, and Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health Systems, sharing how Dell’s solutions resolve their IT pain points. Dell’s partners Citrix, NVIDIA, Imprivata, Liquidware Labs, Trend Micro and Unidesk will also feature the latest products from Dell Cloud Client Computing in their booths.
Dell will kick off its participation on the evening of Tuesday May 21st, with four back-to-back presentations at Dell’s booth theater that will discuss several important solution topics including virtual desktops as they compare to PCs, security and management performance with Dell Wyse ThinOS, managing devices with Dell Wyse Cloud Client Manager and NVIDIA Grid Accelerated Desktops.
The following three days, from May 22nd to the 24th, the team will continue to host back-to-back theater presentations at Dell booth theater that will touch on various cloud and software solutions, including Dell DVS Simplified Appliance enabling mobility, Cloud Client Computing accelerating patient care, enhancing VDI, Dell Wyse and Unidesk helping to accelerate Citrix XenDesktop, NVIDIA GRID desktops and applications, and how Dell Wyse and XenDesktop collaborate to enable student access to technology.
On Wednesday and Thursday the theater presentations will kick off at 1:00pm and go until 4:30pm, while on Friday the presentations will be held from 9:40am until 2:30pm.
In addition to the presentations, Dell will host two different breakout sessions where the team will focus on specific solutions and how they are transforming the business and health care industries.
The first breakout session, “Simple, secure & mobile: virtualization at its best with Dell and Citrix,” will take place at 3:30 p.m. PT on May 22nd, where Jeff McNaught, Dell’s Cloud Client Computing executive director of marketing, along with guest Tony Zhang from Credit Suisse, will discuss how to easily manage Dell and Citrix Virtualization Solutions. They will also premiere Dell Wyse’s newest Xenith zero clients and infrastructure solutions that are specifically geared for Citrix XenDesktop.
The second breakout session, "Improving Patient Care with Desktop Virtualization and SSO," will be held the following day at 3:00 p.m. PT on May 23rd. For this session, Dan O’Farrell, Dell Cloud Client Computing’s Senior Director of Product Marketing and John Brister, Manager of Infrastructure and Technology for Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, will discuss how VDI simplifies healthcare IT management how to protect patient confidentiality.
