Rudramuni Basavarajappa

Rudramuni is currently the Vice President and Head of Dell EMC’s R&D center in India. He is responsible for enterprise operating system technologies and infrastructure software solutions inside the data center through his teams in Bangalore and Austin, Texas. He owns the engineering partnership with Microsoft, Redhat, VMware and few more global partners. He is responsible for setting and implementing strategic direction for Dell’s R&D in India. Apart from this engineering ownership, he also spearheads the responsibility of smooth running of the Operations of entire R&D in Bangalore and integration of acquired entities in India. Rudramuni drives the innovation across all business units of Dell in India.
In the past, Rudramuni worked for Tata Unisys in Bangalore and also in the US for 7 years. He returned to Bangalore and co-founded engineering center of a startup which was acquired by Cadence. Currently, Rudramuni is tracking multiple technologies including Virtualization, OS subsystems, and their evolutionary fitment to cloud computing and convergence. He has keen interest to build and nurture relationship with academic institutes and students’ community. He is also known for his real dedication and passion towards community service activities, both in the corporate environment and on the personal front. Rudramuni is recipient of Distinguished Alumni award at NITK, Surathkal.
