Installing the Internal mini PERC card
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
- Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
- Remove the air shroud.
- If applicable, remove the rear drive cage.
- If applicable, remove the expansion card riser.
- Remove the PERC card air shroud.
Steps
- Align and insert the internal mini PERC card at an angle into the PERC card slot.
- Tighten the screws to secure the internal mini PERC card to the system.
- Connect the SAS cable to the backplane.

Next steps
- Install the air shroud.
- If removed, replace the expansion card riser.
- If removed, replace the rear drive cage.
- Install the PERC card air shroud.
- Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system.
