Removing the smart-card reader

Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the SIM card.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the battery.
- Remove the assembly-inner frame.
About this task
The following image(s) indicate the location of the smart-card reader and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Lift the latch and disconnect the smart-card reader cable from the connector on the USH board.
- Remove the two screws (M2x2) that secure the smart-card reader to the palm-rest assembly.
- Lift the smart-card reader, along with its cable, off the palm-rest assembly.
