Removing the display panel
CAUTION:The information in this section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the SIM card.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the 4G WWAN card or 5G WWAN card, as applicable.
- Remove the WLAN card.
- Remove the display assembly.
- Remove the display bezel.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the display panel and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Remove the four screws (M2.5x3.5) that secure the display panel to the display back cover.
- Lift and open the display panel to access the display cable.
- Peel the conductive tape on the display cable connector.
- Open the latch and disconnect the cable from the connector on the display panel.
- Lift the display panel away from the display back cover.
