Removing the WWAN card
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the nanoSIM card.
- Remove the base cover.
About this task
NOTE:The WWAN card is available only on certain configurations.
The following image(s) indicate the location of the WWAN card and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Using plastic scribe, pry open the WWAN-card shield that secures the WWAN card to the palm-rest assembly.
- Lift the WWAN-card shield off the WWAN card.
- Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the WWAN-card bracket to the WWAN card and palm-rest assembly.
- Lift the WWAN-card bracket off the WWAN card and palm-rest assembly.
- Disconnect the antenna cables from the WWAN card.
- Remove the WWAN card off the WWAN-card slot on the system board.
