Removing the wireless card
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the nanoSIM card.
- Remove the base cover.
About this task
The following image(s) indicate the location of the wireless card and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Remove the captive screw that secures the wireless-card bracket to the wireless card and palm-rest assembly.
- Lift the wireless-card bracket off the wireless card.
- Disconnect the antenna cables from the wireless card.
- Peel the wireless card from the thermal pad and remove the wireless card off the wireless-card slot.
