Removing the battery
CAUTION:The information in this section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the nanoSIM card.
- Remove the base cover.
About this task
The following image(s) indicate the location of the battery and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Peel the tape that secures the battery cable to the palm-rest assembly.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (if not disconnected earlier).
- Loosen the five captive screws that secure the battery to the palm-rest assembly.
- Lift the battery off the palm-rest assembly.
