Removing the System Board

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
  2. Remove:
    1. cover
    2. coin-cell battery
    3. PCI card
    4. memory module(s)
    5. thermal sensor
    6. air tunnel (if available)
    7. heatsink fan
    8. heatsink
    9. processor
  3. Slide the baffle-cover to release it from the computer.

  4. Disconnect the cables connected to the system board.

  5. Remove the screws that secure the system board.

  6. Slide the system board towards the system-fan assembly.

  7. Lift the system board away from the chassis.
