Removing a cabled drive
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
- Follow the procedure listed in
the Before working inside
your system.CAUTION:Mixing drives from previous generations of PowerEdge servers is not supported.
Steps
- Disconnect the power and data cable connector that is connected to the drive.
- Press the release button, and slide the drive out of the drive slot.
