Removing the system cover
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
- Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and disconnect the peripherals.
- If applicable, remove the system from the rack.NOTE:For more information, see the Rail Installation Guide at www.dell.com/poweredgemanuals.
Steps
- Using a 1/4 inch flat head or a Phillips #2 screwdriver, turn the lock on the release-latch counterclockwise to the unlock position.
- Open the release-latch until the system cover slides back.
- Lift the cover away from the system.
