Removing the LED board
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working with your computer.
- Remove the microSD card.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the battery.
- Remove the WWAN.
- Remove the WLAN.
- Remove the memory module.
- Remove the DC-in port.
- Remove the Coin cell battery.
- Remove the Inner frame.
Steps
- Disconnect and peel the USH daughter board Flexible Flat Cable (FFC) from the USH daughter board [1, 2].
- Disconnect the LED board cable from the connector on the system board.
- Unroute the LED board cable [2].
- Peel the grey adhesive tape that secures the LED board [2].
- Remove the single (M2x2.5) screw that secures LED board to the palmrest [1].
- Lift the LED board away from the computer [2].
