Removing display panel

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working with your computer.
  2. Remove the microSD card.
  3. Remove the base cover.
  4. Remove the battery.
  5. Remove the WWAN.
  6. Remove the WLAN.
  7. Remove the Inner frame.
  8. Remove the display assembly.
  9. Remove the Display hinges.

Steps

  1. Remove the (M2.5x3) screws that secure the display panel to the display assembly [1] and lift to turn over the display panel to access the display cable [2].

  2. Peel the conductive tape [1] on the display cable connector.
  3. Remove the adhesive strip that secures the display cable connector [2]
  4. Lift the latch and disconnect the display cable from the connector on the display panel. Do not pull and release the Stretch (SR) Tapes from the display panel. There is no need to separate the brackets from the display panel [3,4].
