Installing the M.2 Solid State Drive - SSD

NOTE Before installing SSD card, ensure that the battery is fully charged or the power cable is plugged in.
  1. Place the SSD clip on the computer .
  2. Tighten the M2x3 screw that secures SSD clip to the computer.
  3. Insert the SSD into the socket on the computer .
  4. Tighten the M2x3 screw to secure the SSD to the computer .
  5. Affix the adhesive tape following the SSD card.
    NOTE For models shipped with NVMe SSDs, the SSD requires installation of a thermal plate over it.
  6. Install the:
    1. battery
    2. base cover
  7. Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer.
