Removing the display bezel
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the battery.
- Remove the WLAN card.
- Remove the WWAN card.
- Remove the display assembly.
About this task
The figure indicates the location of the display bezel and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Use a plastic scribe to pry open the bottom edge of the display bezel beginning from the recesses near the hinges.
- Work your way around the edges of the display bezel to release it from the display back cover.
- Remove the display bezel off the display back cover.
