Removing the battery
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.

- Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
- Remove the single (M2x6) captive screw that secures the battery to the palmrest.
- Lift the battery away from the computer.
