Removing the LCD panel

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the Display assembly.

About this task

The figure indicates the location of the LCD panel and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.

NOTE When replacing the display panel, ensure that the hooks on the top of the display panel assembly are inserted prior before snapping the sides of the assembly in place.

Steps

  1. Use a plastic scribe to pry from the recess at the hinge area.
  2. Work your way around pry from all the sides.
  3. Lift the LCD panel.
