Removing the base cover
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.

Steps
- Remove the seven M2.5x5 and three M2x2 screws that secure the base cover to the laptop.
- Pry the base cover starting from the recess at the hinge area and work your way around.
- Lift the base cover away from the laptop.
