Removing an expansion card riser
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
- Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
- Disconnect any cables connected to the expansion card.
Steps
Hold the touch points, and lift the expansion card riser, from the riser connector, on the system board.Figure 1. Removing low profile riser right

NOTE For butterfly riser, loosen the captive screw and holding the touch points lift the riser away from the system.
