Procedure

  • NOTE: The following steps are applicable only for non-touch systems.
  1. Place the display panel on a clean and flat surface. Image: Display panel
  2. Place the middle frame on the display panel.Image: Placing middle frame on display panel
  3. Replace the 6 screws (M2X3) that secures the middle frame to speaker bezel.
  4. Replace the 7 screws (M2X4) that secures the middle frame to display.
  5. Turn the display assembly over.Image: Replacing the screws
  6. Peel off the Mylar (6) from the display panel.Image: Peeling off the Mylar
    • NOTE: The six Mylars are factory installed with the replacement display panel. Peeling off the Mylar can result in one of the two following acceptable scenarios:
      • A portion of Mylar remains in the middle frame.
      • The whole Mylar is peeled off from the display assembly.
