Procedure
CAUTION: When replacing the system board, it is important to hold it at the center of the board as shown in the image. The circuitry on the sides of the board is fragile and can be easily damaged if the system board is held at the sides or neck area.
NOTE: When replacing the system board, angle the system board onto the palm-rest assembly with the SD-card slot side. Angling it this way while mounting the system board gives sufficient clearance as the audio daughter-board is beneath the other side of the system board.
- Align the screw holes on the system board with the screw holes on the palm-rest assembly.
- Replace the five screws (M2x4) that secure the system board to the palm-rest assembly.
- Adhere the tape and connect the touch-screen cable to the system board.
- Connect the power-adapter port cable, speaker cable, keyboard-control board cable, touch-pad cable and fingerprint reader to the system board.
- Connect the display cable to the system board.
- Align the screw hole on the display-cable bracket with the screw hole on the system board.
- Replace the screw (M2x2) that secures the display-cable bracket to the system board.
