Keyboard Layout Mode

Keyboard Layout Mode enables the user to select the preferred keyboard layout during a Citrix session.

NOTE:To make the Keyboard Layout Mode to take effect, you must sign off broker or reboot the client.

To select the keyboard layout using Keyboard Layout Mode, go to Advanced > Session Settings > Citrix Session Settings > Keyboard Layout Mode on the Admin Policy Tool or Wyse Management Suite. The following are the available selections from the drop-down menu:

  • Server Default
  • Client Setting
  • Dynamic Sync
  • Specific Keyboard

Limitations—Citrix Workspace app Linux keyboard sync mode does not support switching the layout in VDA. Keyboard output follows the client Linux keyboard layout and, not the Windows layout. If you are switching the keyboard layout in VDA, you must select Keyboard Layout Mode as Server Default. If you select any other drop-down from Keyboard Layout Mode and change the synced keyboard language to any other language layout in VDA, there could be synchronization issues and mismatch in the keyboard output in VDA.
