Dell Wyse ThinOS Version 9.1.3129, 9.1.3112, 9.1.2101, and 9.1.1131 Operating System Release Notes

PDF

Important notes for upgrading from ThinOS 9.1.x to ThinOS 9.1.3129

  • When you upgrade from any ThinOS version earlier than 9.13112 to ThinOS 9.1.3129, the thin client downloads all the application packages that are applicable to 9.1.3129. After you upgrade to 9.1.3129, all the application packages are removed and you must reinstall the application packages. Dell Technologies recommends you to upgrade from previous version of ThinOS 9.x to 9.1.3129 without installing the application packages. If you add multiple application packages along with the operating system image in the same Wyse Management Suite group, the upgrade may fail due to low disk space. In this scenario, you must reset to factory default settings for upgrading the ThinOS client again.
  • The upgrade to 9.1.3129 image from 9.1.3112 is not a complete installation process. All application packages are retained after the upgrade.
  • The upgrade to 9.1.3129 image from any version that is older than 9.1.3112, is a complete installation process. All application packages are cleared, and you must reinstall all the application packages after the upgrade.
  • There are chances that the upgrade might fail with event log stating Failed to install. In such an event, you may reboot the device and upgrade again.
  • After upgrade, install the Citrix Workspace app package first, and then reinstall the Citrix-related application packages. Example: HID, Cisco WebEx Meeting.
