Dell Wyse ThinOS Version 9.1.3129, 9.1.3112, 9.1.2101, and 9.1.1131 Operating System Release Notes
Important notes for upgrading from ThinOS 9.0.4024 to ThinOS 9.1.3129
- When you upgrade to ThinOS 9.1.3129, the thin client downloads all the application packages that are applicable to 9.1.3129. After you upgrade to 9.1.3129, all the application packages are removed and you must reinstall the application packages. Dell Technologies recommends you to upgrade from previous version of ThinOS to 9.1.3129 without installing the application packages. If you add multiple application packages along with the operating system image in the same Wyse Management Suite group, the upgrade may fail due to low disk space. In this scenario, you must reset to factory default settings for upgrading the ThinOS client again.
- There are chances that the upgrade might fail with event log stating Failed to install. In such an event, you may reboot the device and upgrade again.
- After you upgrade, install the Citrix Workspace app package first, and then reinstall the Citrix-related application packages. Example: HID, Cisco WebEx Meeting.
- After September 2021, ThinOS 9.0.1136 firmware cannot be upgraded or new application packages cannot be installed on ThinOS 9.0.1136. You can disable time server on ThinOS, change the system time to August 2021, then upgrade the operating system firmware or install the application packages.
