FIPS-140-2 mode

Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) is developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. These standards are publicly announced standards and are developed for using in computers by nonmilitary American government agencies and government contractors. ThinOS 9.1 can perform cryptographic operations using FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standard) 140-2 compliant algorithms.

To enable FIPS-140-2 mode, go to System Tools > Certificates and enable the setting Enable FIPS.
