Citrix Workspace App update

The Citrix Workspace App version is updated to 2101.

  • ICA session cursor pattern—The ICA session cursor pattern setting is added in the Admin Policy tool or Wyse Management Suite policy settings to configure the cursor behavior during a Citrix session. Sign off from the Broker agent or reboot the client to make this setting take effect. The setting can force areas of the cursor to be black or white. The following values can be used:
    • ffff, ffff—Enter this value to set the cursor color as black. This value is set by default.
    • 0,0—Enter this value to set the cursor color as white.
    • aaaa,5555—Enter this value to set the cursor color in a dotted pattern.
  • Citrix logging—Supports export of Citrix logs for troubleshooting purposes. For more information about how to export Citrix Workspace App logs in ThinOS, see the Dell Wyse ThinOS 9.1 Administrator's Guide at www.dell.com/support.

Limitations:

  • Zoom optimization using the proxy server is not supported.
  • Microsoft Teams optimization using the proxy server is not supported.
  • RTME using the proxy server is not supported.
  • Pause/Break and Scroll Lock does not function in Citrix session when the Keyboard Layout Mode is set as Server Default. You must change the Keyboard Layout Mode to non Server Default and reboot the client to make Pause/Break and Scroll Lock work.
  • The maximum supported compatible version of Webex Meetings app on the hosted virtual desktop is 41.3 for WebexMeetings v40.10.11.15.6 pkg. To use Webex meetings optimization in ThinOS, IT administrators must not upgrade Webex meeting server site higher than 41.3. Ensure that you have referred the Compatibility between the Webex Meetings Desktop App and the Thin Client Plugin table to configure Webex Meetings optimization mode environment. To access the compatibility table, do the following:
    1. Go to help.webex.com.
    2. In the search bar, enter Cisco Webex Meetings Virtual Desktop Software, and press Enter.
    3. Click Cisco WebEx Meetings Virtual Desktop Software from the results.
    4. Scroll down the page to view the Compatibility between the Webex Meetings Desktop App and the Thin Client Plugin table.
  • If a user logs in to the Citrix broker using the web-based login, the Last User and Last Logged-in User entries are not displayed on Wyse Management Suite. Also, the user credentials that are pushed to the client using Wyse Management Suite cannot be used for logging into the Citrix broker that uses the web-based login. You can use the web-based login when configuring the Citrix ADC using Azure AD SAML with SSO and Citrix ADC Native OTP features.
