Citrix Workspace App features update

  • Microsoft Teams enhancements—Added HTTP proxy support for anonymous authentication. Configure HTTP Proxy server and Proxy Application List as MTOP in Admin Policy Tool or Wyse Management Suite to make Microsoft Teams optimization function through the proxy server.
  • Zoom Optimization enhancements—ThinOS supports Virtual Background feature which enables you to display an image as your background during a Zoom meeting. This feature works best with a physical green screen and uniform lighting to allow Zoom to detect the difference between you and your background. For more information, see support.zoom.us.
NOTE:The virtual background feature is only supported after Zoom account logon to Zoom VDI application. It is not supported for guest users who does not have a Zoom account.
  • Citrix Multiple virtual channel updates—The Citrix virtual channels count limitation has been fixed in Citrix Workspace App 2104. The Citrix Multiple Virtual Channels have been changed to be enabled by default in ThinOS 9.1.3112. From this release, ThinOS Citrix UC Virtual Channel Settings and Other Citrix Virtual Channels Settings are deprecated which released with CWA 2104 package. This implies that multiple virtual channels are always enabled in thin client even if you make changes in the Admin Policy Tool or Wyse Management Suite policy. From the ThinOS 9.1.3112 release onwards, Admin Policy Tool stops synchronizing with the Citrix Unified Communication Virtual Settings and Other Virtual Channel Settings from Wyse Management Suite. The Citrix Unified Communication Virtual Settings and Other Virtual Channel Settings in Admin Policy Tool and Wyse Management Suite server are only applicable for ThinOS 9.1.2101, or earlier versions. In an event where you do not want to use Unified Communication optimization functions, you must uninstall the related Unified Communication packages. However, Unified Communication feature performance without optimization enabled is not satisfactory and consumes more server resources.
  • QUMU video optimization pack for Citrix updates—Dell Technologies recommends using BCR configurations for QUMU videos URL in thin clients. Ensure to add the QUMU videos URL to Citrix policy Browser Content Redirection ACL Configuration, and configure the prerequisites for BCR supported browsers. For more information, see Citrix Browser Content Redirection feature in Dell Wyse ThinOS Version 9.1 Administrator's Guide at www.dell.com/support
NOTE:For limitations related to Citrix Unified Communications, see the Limitations section.
