Enable external Secure Remote Services

Configure external Secure Remote Services on your VxRail.

Steps

  1. From the VMware vSphere Client, click Hosts and Clusters in the left navigation bar.
  2. Select your VxRail cluster and then click the Configure tab.
  3. Select VxRail > Support from the inner left navigation bar.
  4. Verify the value of SRS Status.
    • Not Configured: Secure Remote Services is not activated.
    • Deployed: Secure Remote Services has been installed but not activated.
    • Enabled: Secure Remote Services is activated.
  5. For each status, perform one of the following:
    • Not Configured, go to step 6.
    • Deployed, go to step 12.
    • Enabled, go to step 12 or 13.
  6. Click Edit in the Dell Secure Remote Services section.
  7. Select External SRS.
  8. In the SRS VM IP Address field, enter one or more external Secure Remote Services IP addresses for VxRail Manager registration (up to 10).
  9. Enter the site ID.
  10. Select the level of data that is collected for use in the VxRail customer experience improvement program and click Next.
  11. Review your information and click Finish.
  12. Click Submit.
    When your Secure Remote Services status shows as Enabled, the process is complete.
  13. Click Test Connection to verify the connection.
