Assign a vSAN license to your VxRail cluster

After you combine or split your vSAN license, apply the license to your VxRail using the VMware vSphere Client.

1. Log in to the VMware vSphere Client with Global.Licenses privileges.
2. In the Navigator window, locate the cluster to which you want to apply the vSAN license.
3. Right-click the cluster and select Assign License.
4. Click Add New Licenses (the small plus icon: +.)
5. Enter your product license key, one license per line, and click Next.
6. (optional) Add a label to the license and click Next.
7. Review the details and click Finish to add the license.
