Dell VxRail Network Planning Guide

PDF

Plan network settings for VMware vCenter Server management network

For VxRail versions earlier than 7.0.350, the VxRail-managed VMware vCenter Server and VxRail Manager were placed on the same VxRail external management network with the VMware ESXi hosts, and a shared VLAN and subnet. For VxRail 7.0.350 and later, you can assign virtual appliances an IP address on a separate subnet and the subnet assigned a separate VLAN.

If you plan to deploy the virtual management components into a subnet that is separate from the VMware ESXi hosts, make a note of the network properties.
