VMware vCenter Server

The VxRail Manager performs VxRail life cycle and cluster operations, including cluster shutdown, and LCM for satellite nodes.

The following VMware vCenter Server options are supported for VxRail satellite nodes:

  • With VxRail 7.0.450 and later, satellite nodes are supported with customer-managed VMware vCenter Server and VxRail-managed VMware vCenter Server.
  • For VxRail versions earlier than 7.0.450, satellite nodes are only supported with customer-managed VMware vCenter Server.
