Host and storage connectivity

The following are the recommended options for secondary storage to work with VxRail.

• PowerStore
• Power Max (2000/8000, 2500/8500)
• Dell Unity XT
• PowerFlex
• VMAX

Third-party storage arrays are supported, provided the third-party vendor arrays support the VMware ESXi version that matches the VxRail cluster and you follow the best practice from both VMware and the storage vendor. Both standard VMware vSAN-based VxRail clusters, and dynamic node clusters can use secondary storage.
