Network considerations

Consider the network properties when configuring a VMware vSAN Cross-Cluster Capacity Sharing.

Configure the data center network infrastructure to enable VMware vSAN network connectivity between the participating clusters to use VMware vSAN Cross-Cluster Capacity Sharing. The client cluster must be able to discover the remote VMware vSAN data store to locally mount the resource to use the VM workload. For this discovery, configure the VMware vSAN network on the VxRail standard cluster with VMware vSAN storage and the VxRail dynamic cluster to connect over the data center network. VMware vSAN Cross-Cluster Capacity Sharing supports connectivity over a L2 or L3 network.
