View Snapshot Details
Learn how to view snapshot details in the storage details page and snapshot page.
Prerequisites
- Snapshot must exist.
Steps
- Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
- Click .
- Select the VMFS datastore, click .

To view the snapshot details, click
Snapshots tab, the
Snapshots tab displays the list of snapshots that are created on the datastore.

Select the snapshot from the list of snapshots and click
> to view the snapshot details.
The Details tab displays the following information:
- Name
- Creation Time
- Linked
- Restored
- Expiration Date
- Generation
- State
- Snapshot Capacity (GB)
- Storage Group Name
- Click Links tab to view the host details.

Select the snapshot from the list of snapshots and click
> to view the snapshot details.

To view the snapshot details in the
Storage Details page, select the VMFS datastore, click
and scroll down to
Snapshots card.
The Snapshots card displays the number of snapshots and the number of linked snapshots.NOTE The number of snapshots displayed in the Snapshots card is clickable, it navigates to the Snapshots tab.
