Unmount Datastores

Use the procedure in this topic to unmount datastores.

Steps

  1. Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
  2. Click Menu > Storage.
  3. Select a NFS datastore, click Configure > Dell VSI > Storage.
    The Storage Details tab displays details of the selected datastore.
  4. Click Access and Connectivity tab. The hosts that have access to NFS datastore are displayed.
    NOTE You can edit the default access mode by clicking the EDIT button.
  5. To unmount, select a host from the list and click the X (Unmount) icon.
    The Unmount Datastore dialog box is displayed.
  6. Click UNMOUNT. The datastore is unmounted from the selected host.
    NOTE If the last host is unmounted, the datastore is also unmounted leaving it in the back-end.
