Restore Datastore from Snapshot

Use the procedure in this topic to restore a datastore from snapshot.

Steps

  1. Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
  2. Click Menu > Storage.
  3. Select a datastore, click Configure > Dell VSI > Storage.
    The Storage Details page is displayed.
  4. Under the Snapshots tab, select the snapshot from the list of snapshots displayed., expand More Actions
  5. Click to expand More Actions, select Restore Datastore from Snapshot.
    The Restore Datastore from Snapshot wizard is displayed.
    NOTE Only current datastore can be restored.

    You can also restore a datastore by right-clicking a datastore and click Restore Datastore option.

  6. Select the checkbox Take a backup snapshot of the datastore being restored, it creates a snapshot on the target datastore automatically.
    The host is rescanned to mount the restored volume.
