Dell Virtual Storage Integrator (VSI) for VMware vSphere Client Version 10.0 Product Guide
Register Unity Capability Profiles
Use the procedure in this topic to register Unity Capability Profile to the VSI plug-in.
Prerequisites
- Capability Profiles must be created from Unisphere.
- The owners of the Unity storage system can register additional Capability Profiles or unregister existing Capability Profiles.
Steps
- Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
- Click .
- Click Capability Profiles on the left side. The Capability Profiles page displays all the registered Capability Profiles.
- Click + (add) icon, the Register Capability Profiles wizard is displayed.
- In the Storage Systems step, select the Unity storage systems to discover the Capability Profiles. Click NEXT.
- In the Select Capability Profiles step, select the Capability Profiles to make them accessible to VSI. Click NEXT.
- In the Storage Access step, select the vCenter users or groups that you want to grant access to the capability profiles.
- In the Ready to Register step, review the selected Capability Profiles and storage access details. Click FINISH.
