Register a RecoverPoint Storage System

Use the procedure in this topic to register a RecoverPoint storage system to the VSI plug-in.

1. Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
2. Click Menu > Dell VSI.
3. Click Storage Systems on the left side.
   The Storage Systems page is displayed.
4. On the Storage Systems page, click + (add) icon.
   The Register Storage System wizard is displayed.
5. To register the RecoverPoint storage system, follow the on-screen step-by-step process:

   In the Type and Connection Settings step, select or enter the values for following parameters:

   • Storage System Type
   • RecoverPoint Host Name/IP
   • Port
   • RecoverPoint Username
   • RecoverPoint Password

   Once all the values are specified, the NEXT button is enabled. Click NEXT.

6. In the Import Certficates step, you can choose to register RecoverPoint with or without SSL.
   NOTE This is an optional step.

   • If you wish to register RecoverPoint without using SSL, click NEXT.
   • If you wish to register RecoverPoint using SSL, you must import the certificate. Click IMPORT and click Enable SSL: RecoverPoint toggle. Click NEXT.
7. In the Storage Access step, you can choose to add more users or user groups to access the RecoverPoint storage system.
   NOTE This is an optional step.

   • If you wish to proceed without adding more users or user groups, click NEXT.
   • If you wish to add more users or user groups to access the RecoverPoint storage system, select the users from the list displayed to grant them permissions and click NEXT.
8. In the Ready to Register step, review your selections and click FINISH.
   You can click BACK to make any changes.
