Refresh Snapshot using Datastore
Use the procedure in this topic to refresh a snapshot using datastore on Unity storage system.
Prerequisites
Snapshot must have Retention Policy as No Automatic Deletion.
Steps
- Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
- Click .
- Select a VMFS datastore, click .
- Under the Snapshots tab, select the snapshot from the list of snapshots displayed.

Click to expand
More Actions, select
Refresh Snapshot.
The Refresh Snapshot wizard is displayed.

Select the checkbox
Create a copy of the snapshot before refreshing with {datastore_name}. Click
REFRESH.
NOTE The Create a copy of the snapshot before refreshing with {datastore_name} is optional and the snapshot can be refreshed without selecting this option.The snapshot is refreshed with selected datastore.
