Learn how to run space reclamation on the datastores.
Prerequisites
- Storage system needs to be registered.
NOTE
- Space Reclamation is only supported by VMFS datastore.
- Not supported: vVol datastore, local datastore of a host, non-Dell datastore.
Steps
- Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
- Click .

Right-click a datacenter, folder, cluster, host, or datastore and select
.
The Run Space Reclamation dialog box is displayed.

To reclaim unused storage space, click
RUN.
NOTE The reclamation task will run serially for each datastore.
