Enable Users to Manage Snapshots
Learn how to enables users to manage snapshots for PowerMax Storage System.
Prerequisites
NOTE By default, snapshots are enabled for the array owner (storage admin) and disabled for all other users.
Steps
- Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
- Click .

Click
Storage Access on the left side. The
Storage Access page is displayed. It displays the vCenter administrator name and list of all users/groups that have access to the
Dell storage systems.
NOTE The vCenter administrator name is displayed even if the administrator has not registered any storage systems or been granted access to them.

Select a vCenter user or group and click
Edit (Pencil icon).
The Edit Access dialog box is displayed.
- Click PowerMax/VMAX Limits tab, select the Enable Snapshots checkbox for one or more PowerMax arrays.
- Click SAVE.
