Edit Dell XtremIO Storage System

Use the procedure in this topic to edit the Dell XtremIO storage system.

Prerequisites

You must be the owner of the Dell XtremIO storage system.

Steps

  1. Log in to the VMware vSphere Client.
  2. Click Menu > Dell VSI.
  3. Click Storage Systems on the left side.
    The Storage Systems page is displayed.
  4. Select the Dell XtremIO storage system, click the Edit (pencil) icon. The Edit Storage System Registration dialog box is displayed.
  5. You can modify the following properties:
    • XMS Host name/IP
    • XMS Username
    • XMS Password
    • Managed by
  6. To change ownership, select the user/groups listed in the Managed by table.
    You can also click X to remove the selected user/groups.
  7. Click SAVE to save the changes.
    NOTE A vCenter administrator can also perform edit storage system registration, but can only change the owner. If vCenters are in Linked Mode configuration, you must have vCenter administrator privileges across all vCenters to perform edit storage owner operation.
